LPR Port Printing using TCP/IP in Windows NT 4.0
The following are the steps to set up LPR port printing using the TCP/IP protocol in Windows NT4.0.
Step 1: Setting up TCP/IP on the computer
Step 2: Setting up TCP/IP on the printer
Step 3: Installing the LPR port on the computer
• When printing directly from a computer to the printer, perform steps 3 and 4 on each computer
(Windows NT 4.0).
• When printing through the shared computer (server), perform steps 3 and 4 on the server
computer (Windows NT 4.0), then perform step 5 on each client computer (Windows 95, Windows
98, Windows Me, Windows NT 4.0, Windows 2000 or Windows XP).
