Changing the Password

It is recommended that the password is set so only the network administrator can change the
configuration. To set the password, proceed to the following steps.

Display the printer's Web Server screen (see

Click the Printer Configuration or Network Configuration tab.
The Enter a Network Password window is displayed.

Enter root in the User Name box (and password in the Password box if it is set)
and click [OK].

Click [Change password].

Type the password in the New Password box and type the same password in
the Retype New Password box again.

Click [Submit] and click [OK].

Click Network Configuration tab and click Restart.

Click [Submit] and click [OK].
NOTE:
• Be sure to store the password not to forget.

For your convenience, we recommend recording the support information.

Click Edit.
The Enter a Network Password window is displayed.
