Possible causes/consequences and
* The engine is off and the charge level is too low.
Switch off electrical consumers that are not required.

Leave the engine running for a few minutes, or drive an extended distance.

The 12 V battery is being charged.
* The 12 V battery is not being charged.
* NOTE Possible engine damage if you continue driving
Do not continue driving under any circumstances.

Stop the vehicle immediately in accordance with the traffic conditions and switch off the engine.
