Information on Near Field Communication
(NFC)
NFC enables short-range wireless data transfer
or (re)connection of a mobile phone with the
multimedia system.
The following functions are available without
having authorised a mobile phone:
Transferring a URL to be viewed in the multi‐
R
media system (see the manufacturer's oper‐
ating instructions).
Setting up the vehicle's Wi-Fi access data via
R
the system settings (
page 245).

Using a mobile phone with Near Field Com‐
munication (NFC)
Requirements:
NFC is activated on the mobile phone (see
R
the manufacturer's operating instructions)
The mobile phone's screen is switched on
R
and unlocked (see the manufacturer's oper‐
ating instructions)
It is possible to use a mobile phone via NFC with
Bluetooth
®
telephony.
To connect a mobile phone: hold the NFC
#
area of the mobile phone (see manufactur‐
er's operating instructions) on mat
place the mobile phone on it.
The mobile phone is connected to the multi‐
media system.
To change a mobile phone: hold the NFC
#
area of the mobile phone (see manufactur‐
er's operating instructions) on the mat or
place the mobile phone on it.
If the mobile phone has already been author‐
ised on the multimedia system, it is now con‐
nected.
If the mobile phone is authorised on the mul‐
timedia system for the first time, it is connec‐
ted after confirming the mobile phone
instructions (see the manufacturer's operat‐
ing instructions).
