ment cluster.
O is automatically deactivated again, if the
following conditions are met:
you shift the transfer case to the on-road
R
position HIGH RANGE.
you disengage all differential locks.

Not all driving and driving safety systems are
available in O under certain circumstances.
Observe the system limits of the transfer case
(
page 151) and the differential locks
/
(
page 152).

It is not possible to change the drive program
with the DYNAMIC SELECT switch in O. The
DYNAMIC SELECT switch only works again when
O has been deactivated.

Function of the DIRECT SELECT lever
& WARNING Risk of accident due to incor‐
rect gearshifting
If the engine speed is higher than the idle
speed and you engage the transmission posi‐
tion h or k, the vehicle may accelerate
sharply.
If you engage the transmission position
#
h or k when the vehicle is at a
standstill, always depress the brake
pedal firmly and do not accelerate at
the same time.
& WARNING Risk of accident and injury
due to children left unattended in the
vehicle
If children are left unsupervised in the vehi‐
cle, they could, in particular:
open doors, thereby endangering other
R
persons or road users.
get out and be struck by oncoming traf‐
R
fic.
operate vehicle equipment and become
R
trapped, for example.
In addition, the children could also set the
vehicle in motion, for example by:
releasing the parking brake.
R
change the transmission position.
R
start the vehicle.
R
Never leave children unattended in the
#
vehicle.
When leaving the vehicle, always take
#
the key with you and lock the vehicle.
Keep the key out of reach of children.
