1. Install the negative-battery cable onto the battery
terminal (Figure 142).

Procedure
1. Start the engine.
2. Fully turn the steering wheel left and right until
the wheel turns smoothly.
3. Shut off the engine and remove the key.

Procedure
1. Check the hoses and fittings at the EHI steering
valve and the steering valve for hydraulic leaks.
Important:
Fix all leaks before installing the
hood.
2. Check the hoses and fittings at the hydraulic
tank and hydraulic pump for leaks.
