Note:
Removed ink cartridges may have ink around the
ink supply port, so be careful not to get any ink on
the surrounding area when removing the
cartridges.

Remove the ink cartridge from the bag. Shake the
ink cartridge for 5 seconds 15 times horizontally
in approximately 5 cm movements as shown in
the illustration.
Note:
Do not touch the green IC chip on the ink cartridges.
You may not be able to print properly.

Hold the ink cartridge with the arrow mark u
facing up, and then insert it into the slot as far as it
will go until it clicks.
Match the ink cartridge color with the color label
on the back of the cartridge cover.
Repeat steps 3 to 6 to replace other ink cartridges.
Note:
Install all ink cartridges into each slot. You cannot
print if any of the slots are empty.

Close the cartridge cover.
Replacing Maintenance Box 1
and 2
If the message Replace Maint Box or Not Enough
Empty Space is displayed, replace the specified
Maintenance Box.

Note:
Do not attempt to re-use maintenance box 1 or 2 that has
been removed and left out in the open for a long period of
time. The ink on the inside will be dry and hard and will
be unable to absorb enough ink.
Replacing Maintenance Box 1
The on-screen message reads Maintenance Box 1,
however the product name for this consumable is
Maintenance Box.
Note:
Do not replace Maintenance Box 1 while printing. Waste
ink may leak.
