Explanation
You can select the media type that is the closest to the paper you
are using.
"Printer Setup menu" on page 103
U
Print a pattern to detect the thickness of the loaded paper.
Select the pattern number with the least misalignment from the
print results.
Use this setting if you are unable to resolve banding issues
(horizontal striped lines or uneven colors) in the standard print
area (for cut sheets, the area excluding the 1 to 2 cm strip at the
bottom of the paper) even after head cleaning or head alignment.
Pattern
This method allows you to correct by visually checking a
printed pattern and entering a correction value.
Check for the lightest colored pattern in lines A to F on the
printed adjustment pattern.
In the following example, "3" should be selected as it is the
lightest.
1
A
Enter the confirmed number for each entry screen for lines A
to F.
Value
You can change the value based on the banding in the
printed material.
The correction value (-0.70 to + 0.70%) is set at a rate of one
meter per paper feed. Because a black band occurs (dark
colored stripe) if too little paper is fed, adjust it in a + direction.
Because a white band occurs (a white or light colored stripes)
if too much paper is fed, adjust it in a - direction.
