SAFETY
Use:
The Lavazza cappuccinatore is designed exclusively for domestic use with Lavazza A MODO MIO machines equipped with a steam
arm. The product must not be subjected to technical modifications. Because of the risks involved, incorrect use of the product is
prohibited! The device must not be used by people (including children) with reduced physical, mental or sensory capacities, or with
insufficient experience and/or expertise, unless they are supervised by a person responsible for their safety or instructed on how to
use the device by same.
Positioning:
Locate the cappuccinatore in a secure place where nobody can knock it over or injure themselves. Do not store the
cappuccinatore at temperatures of under 0°C as the cold could damage it. Do not use the cappuccinatore outside. Do
not place the cappuccinatore on hot surfaces and/or close to naked flames.
Power supply:
Only connect the cappuccinatore to a suitable power socket. The voltage must correspond with that indicated on the
transformer plate.
Power cord:
Do not use the cappuccinatore if the transformer, power cord or plug are damaged or worn. In such an event replace
the transformer with an original Lavazza spare part. Do not pull or run the power cord around corners and sharp edges,
or across hot surfaces. Protect it from oil. Do not carry or pull the cappuccinatore holding it by the cord. Do not remove
the plug by pulling the cord; do not touch with wet hands. Prevent the power cord from hanging down from tables or
shelves.
Risk of electrocution:
Keep the power unit and transformer away from water at all times.
Protecting others:
Supervise children to prevent them playing with the appliance. Children are not aware of the dangers related to
domestic appliances. Keep the materials use to pack the cappuccinatore out of their reach.
Risk of burning:
Avoid directing jets of steam towards yourself or others. When first dispensed, there may be little splashes of hot water.
The steam arm can reach high temperatures: do not touch it directly with your hands. Use the specific steam spout
support.
Cleaning:
Before cleaning the cappuccinatore you must remove the lead from the cappuccinatore and the plug from the mains
and wait for the cappuccinatore to cool down. Do not immerse the cappuccinatore in water! Modifying the internal
workings of the cappuccinatore is strictly prohibited.
Storing the cappuccinatore:
When the cappuccinatore goes unused for a prolonged period of time, remove the plug and store it in a dry place out
of the reach of children. Protect it from dust and dirt.
Repairs / Maintenance:
In the event of faults, defects or suspected defects after being dropped, immediately remove the plug from the mains
supply. Do not attempt to use a defective cappuccinatore. Only authorised Lavazza Service Centres may carry out
maintenance or repairs. Lavazza will accept no responsibility in the event of damages deriving from unauthorised
repair or maintenance work.
Disposal of cappuccinatore at end of life:
INFORMATION FOR USERS: in accordance with Art. 13 of Italian Legislative Decree no. 151 of 25 July 2005,
"Fulfilment of Directives 2002/95/CE, 2002/96/CE and 2003/108/CE regarding the reduction of the use of dangerous
substances in electrical and electronic goods as well as waste disposal". This symbol of a crossed out wheelie bin
on the product or on its packaging indicates that this product shall not be treated as household waste. Instead it
shall be handed over to the applicable collection point for the recycling of electrical and electronic equipment.
By ensuring this product is disposed of correctly, you will help prevent potential negative consequences for the
environment and human health, which could otherwise be caused by inappropriate waste handling of this product.

waste disposal service or the shop where you purchased the product.
