Getting Started

This paragraph contains the instruction to install the NPD in series with the ECD.
Before starting, the following preliminary operations must be carried out:
1. Cool the oven and detector base body to room temperature.
2. Close the gas supplies.
3. Turn off the main power on the rear panel of the GC.
4. Disconnect the main power cable from the rear of the GC.
To properly install the NPD tandem upgrade kit, the following sequential
operations must be performed:

Remove the top, right side and panels of the GC.
Mount the DGFC for NPD into the GC pneumatic compartment.
Install the detector control card into the GC electronic compartment (control
unit).
Mount the transformer for NPD.
Remount GC panels.
Mount the NPD on the ECD.
Restart the GC.
Configure the transformer.
Configure the detector.
