- Clean the sealing faces of mechanical seal with
a dry soft cloth. Mount the stationary part of the
seal with a vegetal oil bath.
- Change pump gaskets.
- Change all worn or damaged parts.
- Gradually tighten bolts in a symmetrical man-
ner.
- Mount the motor and center it to the pump
following the procedure described on section
"6.3 Centering"
11.- REPAIR AND GUARANTEE
Order to our Company or to our Technical
Assistance Services the repairs of equipment
acquired. EBARA guarantees free repairs in the
circumstances indicated below:
(1) The guarantee period is up to a year (1) after
the date of delivery.
(2) During the guarantee period, breakdown or
damage due to design or defective assembling
by our company, in spite of correct use, shall be

repaired free of charge. In such cases, we would
bear the cost of the repairs or replaced parts
accepted as defective at our factory. However,
we shall not accept responsibility for any other
costs.
(3) Repairs would not be free of charge when
breakdowns occur after the expiry of the guaran-
tee, as a result of incorrect use or mainte-nance,
following to nature disasters, as a result of using
parts which are not registered by our company,
or caused by repairs or alterations undertaken by
staff or firms not designated by EBARA.
(4) We do not assume neither expenses nor any
other damages incurred in respect of breakdown
damage occurring during use of the product.
If you notice anything abnormal while using the
product, turn it off immediately and check if it
could be a breakdown. (See section "8.- MAIN-
TENANCE"). In case of it, contact us immediately
giving us the printed data of pump nameplate
and breakdown detected.
Do not hesitate to contact EBARA if you have any
doubts about the product you have purchased.
