Setting or changing user data
User data identifies and provides more information about a specific device or set of devices. It is
associated with the action.sourcedata keyword string that can be inserted into the Command Line
Parameters: list. You can associate the same data with one or more devices.
To set or change user data:

From the MarkVision Messenger Home screen, click Set User Data. A list of all available
devices and current user data is displayed.

Enter your device information in the Data: field.

Select the devices you want to associate with this data. You can:
Click the box to the left of a device name to select it.
Click Select All to select all devices.
Click Deselect All to remove all device selections.

When you're finished:
Click Apply to save your changes and refresh the Set User Data screen.
Click Done to return to the MarkVision Messenger Home screen.
Notes:
User-defined data is user specific and cannot be viewed or altered by another user.
The Data: field is limited to 80 characters.

Generating reports

You can create Actions to generate event-specific reports.
For example, you're an account administrator and you want to set up an Action to generate a report
containing billing and delivery information for all supplies that have been ordered.

From the MarkVision Messenger Home screen, click Create New.

Enter your Action information in the setup screens that follow, and then click Next.

From the Events screen, select Supplies Alerts from the Categories: list.

Select the events you want to monitor and click the (>) button to add them to the Selected
Events: list.

Click Next when you are ready to continue.

Select the devices you want to monitor, and then click Next.

Enter your command information and keywords in the appropriate fields.

Click Next, and complete the remaining steps.
