5.2.3. Phase 2: Check of the set parameters
5.2.3.1. Operation sequence
After ending the phase 1 and setting the calculated parameters, it is possible to check the calculation results.
5.2.3.2. First steps
•
Take the DGFC card first to the READY status and afterwards to the RUN status.
5.2.3.3. Check of the Incremental Encoder.
•
Move the axis by hand ( by pushing it), if possible, in a positive direction.
•
Check that the axis real value is increasing.
•
Move the axis by hand ( by pushing it), if possible, in a negative direction.
•
Check that the axis real value is decreasing.
5.2.3.4. Check that the axis remains stopped and closed in the position loop
·
Enable the drive and the positioner.
·
Check that the axis is stopped and controlled by a position loop.
5.2.3.5. Check of the manual commands
Warning: during this phase of the axis configuration procedure the electronic limit switches are disabled; be
careful while using the manual commands.
•
Set a JOG speed equal to 10% of the maximum speed.
•
Send the JOG+ command.
•
Check that the axis is moving in a positive direction.
•
Send the JOG- command.
•
Check that the axis is moving in a negative direction.
5.2.3.6. Check of the axis unit of measure
•
Place the axis in a known mechanical point, pointA, near the minimum limit switch.
•
Detect the axis ideal value, positionA.
•
Place the axis in a known mechanical point, pointB, near the maximum limit switch.
•
Detect the axis ideal value, positionB.
•
Measure the distance, DISTANCE, between pointA and pointB
•
Check that the measured distance, DISTANCE, is equal to positionB - positionA
