3.19.7 AGING Test (5: AGING TEST)
A press on '5' on the TEST MODE menu selects the AGING test. In this test, the contact
sensor is turned on, and the original feeder motor of the ADF is driven as it is in Fine mode.
The printer, on the other hand, prints a pattern of diagonal bands in Fine mode.
To end the AGING test, press the Stop key.

3.19.8 FACULTY (function) Test (6: FACULTY TEST)

A press on '6' on the keypad from the TEST MODE menu selects the FACULTY test. A
press on the keypad (1 through 7, 9, #) during the test will bring up the following menu:

G3 Signal Transmission Test (6-1: G3 4800 bps Tx)
A press on '1' on the keypad on the FACULTY TEST selects the G3 transmission test. In
this test, a G3 signal is transmitted using the telephone line terminal and the speaker at 4800
bps.
Sensor Test (6-3: SENSOR)
This mode is used to check the state of a specific sensor of the machine on the display. A
press on '3' on the keypad from the FACULTY TEST mode selects the sensor test. The dis-
play indication changes as the senor goes ON and OFF.
