10) Is the connection of the following connectors normal: J501 and
J503 on the analog processor PCB; J317 on the image processor
PCB; J504 of the contact sensor?
NO:
Connect them firmly. If the flexible cable has a scratch, replace it.
11) Try replacing the contact sensor. Is the problem corrected?
YES: End.
12) Try replacing the analog processor PCB. Is the problem corrected?
YES: End.
NO:
Replace the image processor PCB.
1) Clean the transfer guide assembly. Is the problem corrected?
YES: End.
NO:
Replace the cartridge.
1) Execute 'PRINT test'. Is the output image normal? (See 3.19.5
"PRINT TEST" in Chapter 2.)
YES: Go through steps 3) to 7).
NO:
Go to step 2).
2) Clean the transfer guide assembly. Is the problem corrected?
YES: End.
NO:
Replace the cartridge.
3) Clean the rod lens array of the contact sensor. (See 4.2 in Chapter
6.)
YES: End.
4) Execute black offset. Is the problem corrected? (See 1.2 of this
chapter.)
YES: End.
