As with the SFP+ ports S1 and S2, the Multi-Gigabit copper ports support
the chain topology, where ports on the top and bottom switches are
unused. Refer to Figure 22 on page 49 for an example. This cable
topology is not recommended because it does not provide trunk link
redundancy.
