XUV700 (Diesel)
• GO TO STEP 4
STEP 4 – CHECK INTERNAL SHORT CIRCUIT IN CAN LOW AND CAN HIGH OF EMS
ECU
PRE CONDITION
• Ignition OFF
• Battery terminals DISCONNECTED
• EMS ECU only connected with the CAN (All other ECUs and Terminating resistor
disconnected)
TEST PROCEDURE
• Measure the resistance between pin 14 and pin 6 of the DLC connector (C 555)
ACCEPTANCE CRITERIA
• Resistance = 120±10 Ω
• GO TO STEP 5
STEP 5 — CHECK INTERNAL SHORT CIRCUIT IN CAN LOW AND CAN HIGH OF
IMMOBILIZER
PRE CONDITION
• Ignition OFF
• Battery terminals DISCONNECTED
• EMS ECU, Terminating resistor & Immobilizer only CONNECTED with CAN

communicate with i-SMART
