These instructions for use provide you with important information regarding the assembly and proper use of the
HR51040000-027 and HR51050000-027 Robby bathing supports.
All users and/or their attendants must be trained by qualified personnel in the use of the product with the aid of
these instructions for use. In particular, users and/or attendants must be informed of the residual risks with the aid
of the safety notices.
The manufacturer reserves the right to make technical changes to the model described in these instructions for
use.
2 Product description
The bathing support is a bathing and showering aid that can be adjusted in various ways to meet the child's needs.
The child can be positioned lying down or sitting in the bathing support.
Hook-and-loop straps are used to adjust the tension of the fabric cover to the child's needs, creating a recess to
suit the muscle tension.
The head section can swing away to the rear, or the fabric cover on this section can be pulled off to keep the head
clear, e.g. while washing hair.
The back support length and seat depth can be adjusted to the child's height by telescoping the frame tubes.
The frame cover consists of two pieces of fabric that overlap in the pelvis area of the back support and are connec­
ted with a hook-and-loop closure. The hook-and-loop closure can be opened and the required length of fabric from
the overlap can be used, e.g. when adjusting the length of the bathing support.
3 Intended use
The safe use of the product can only be ensured in case of intended use in accordance with the information con­
tained in these instructions for use. The user is ultimately responsible for accident-free operation.
3.1 Indications for use
The product is intended to support and optimise the seating position of children while bathing.
The product is suitable for users with intact skin whose anatomy (such as body dimensions and weight) permits the
intended use of the product.
Depending on the product that is used, additional accessories may be needed for the intended use. The prerequis­
ites for safe installation, adjustment and use are described in the instructions for use of the respective product and
must be met in all cases.
The products must be replaced exclusively with original parts from the manufacturer. All information in the instruc­
tions for use of the products that are used must be observed for combinations with other products. Ottobock
assumes no liability for combinations with medical devices and/or accessories from other manufacturers not
included in Ottobock's modular system.
Combinations based on a combination agreement that have been evaluated for effectiveness and safety are an
exception to this.
