Introduction

This chapter describes how to install and remove the Pass-Through
Mechanism (PTM). The PTM enables the transfer of a single tape cartridge
between two or more SSL2000 Series Libraries. The PTM can be used to
connect up to five Libraries increasing the storage capacity of the entire library
system.
