5.3 Shield Treatment of Cables

Use shielded cables for the cables wired outside the panel in the MELDAS600/64 Series.
Use a shield clamp (refer to section 6.1) within 10cm of the lead-out port from the panel.
(1) I/O interface cable [F010 cable]

• Always use the shield clamp on both ends of the connected units.
CAUTION
• The shield clamp is not required if the control unit and base I/O unit are wired in the same
panel.
(2) DC power supply cable [F110/070/FCUA-R220 cable]

• Use a shield clamp within 10cm from the panel's inlet/outlet.
• Install a ferrite core on both ends of the connected units.
CAUTION
• Always install a ferrite core (refer to section 6.2) on the general-purpose stabilized power
supply.
(The ferrite core may not be required depending on the selected power supply.)
