LOFT JOIST ASSEMBLY

BEGIN
Lift and position the front loft joist on loft supports, fl ush to window frame stud (Fig. C) and at the measurement

shown at back wall (Fig. D).
Secure with (2) 3" nails through the window side stud (Fig. C) and (2) 3" screws angled up into top plate
on the back wall side (Fig. D).
Predrill screw holes with 5/16" bit.

Lift and position the 2nd loft joist on loft supports, fl ush to back wall stud (Fig. D) and at the measurement shown

from the stud (Fig. C).
Secure with 3" screws screws angled up into top plate on the window side (Fig. C).
At the back wall side (Fig. D), secure joist with (1) 3" screw angled into the top plates
and (2) 3" screws through stud.
Predrill screw holes with 5/16" bit.
FINISH
Your loft joists are now installed.
