BRAKE PAD INSPECTION
1.0perate the brake lever or brake pedal.
2.lnspect:
• Brake pad (front)
• Brake pad (rear)
Wear indicators

Replace the brake pads as a set.
Refer to "FRONT AND REAR BRAKES" in
CHAPTER 7.

• The brake light switch is operated by
movement of the brake pedal.
• Adjustment is correct when the brake
light comes on just before the braking
effect actually starts.

Adjustment steps: •
• Hold the main body

that it does not rotate, and turn the
adjuster® in or out until the proper oper-
ation timing is obtained.
Turning in:
Brake light comes on
sooner.
