THROTTLE POSITION SENSOR (TPS)
ADJUSTMENT AND INSPECTION
NOTE: - - - - - - - - - - - - -
• Before adjusting the TPS, idling speed
should be adjusted properly .
• When installing the TPS, observe the dis-
play on the tachometer and adjust the
angle accordingly. Refer to the adjust-
ment procedure below.
1.Adjust:
• TPS position

Adjustment steps:
eTurn the main switch to "ON".
• Disconnect the TPS coupler.
• Reconnect the TPS coupler.
NOTE:
When the above procedure is completed,
the machine switches to the TPS adjust-
ment mode.
• Loosen the TPS screws (D .
•Adjust the TPS position.
NOTE: - - - - - - - - - - - -
The angle of the TPS is shown on the
tachometer.
• Properly adjust the angle of the TPS, as
shown below.
When the angle is correct, the tachome-
ter reads 5,000 rpm

When the angle is too wide, the
tachometer reads 10,000 rpm .
When the angle is too narrow, the
tachometer reads 0 rpm.
•After adjusting the angle, tighten the TPS
screws.
NOTE:
To return to the normal mode, start the
engine or reset the main switch.
