WARNING
• Proper clutch hose routing is essential to
insure safe motorcycle operation. Refer
to uCABLE ROUTING".
• Always use new copper washers.
4.lnstall:
• Clutch lever (D

Apply lithium soap base grease to the
clutch lever pivot.
5.Connect:
• Clutch switch coupler®
6.Fill:
• Clutch reservoir

Recommended fluid:
DOT4

Clutch fluid may damage painted surfaces
or plastic parts. Always clean up spilled
clutch fluid immediately.

WARNING
• Use only the designated quality clutch
fluid: other clutch fluids may deteriorate
the rubber seals, causing leakage and
poor clutch performance.
• Refill with the same type of fluid: mixing
fluids may result in a harmful chemical
reaction and lead to poor clutch perfor-
mance.
• When refilling be careful that water does
not enter the master cylinder. Water will
significantly lower the boiling point of the
clutch fluid and may result in vapor lock.
7.Air bleed:
• Clutch system
Refer to "AIR BLEEDING (HYDRAULIC
CLUTCH SYSTEM)" in CHAPTER 3.
8.lnspect:
• Clutch fluid level
Clutch fluid level is under the "LOWER"
level line
