5.Remove:
• Starter clutch assembly
CD
• HY-VO chain drive gear®
• Crankshaft assembly@
• Timing chain @
• HY-VO chain @
6.Remove:
• Main journal bearings
(from the upper crankcase)
NOTE:
Identify the position of each main journal
bearing very carefully so that it can be rein-
stalled in its original position.
7.Remove:
• HY-VO chain guide
CD
VALVES AND CAMSHAFT CASE
NOTE:
The valves can be removed while the
engine is mounted by removing the follow-
ing parts:
• Bottom cowling
• Side cowlings (left and right)
• Seat
• Fuel tank
• Air filter case
• Carburetor assembly
• Radiator assembly
• Cylinder head
NOTE: - - - - - - - - - - - -
Valve sealing should be checked before the
internal parts (valves, valve springs, valve
seats etc.) of the cylinder head are
removed.
