Pinching of limbs (e.g. fingers) and the skin due to uncontrolled joint move­
ment
► Do not reach into the joint mechanism during daily use.
► Close attention is required during assembly and adjustment tasks.

► Use caution when working with the product.
► If the product is damaged, check it for proper function and readiness
for use.
► In case of changes in or loss of functionality, do not continue using the
product (see "Signs of changes in or loss of functionality during use" in
this section).
► Take any necessary measures (e.g. repair, replacement, inspection by
the manufacturer's customer service, etc.).

5 Preparing the product for use

1) Flex the orthotic knee joint.
INFORMATION: When the orthotic knee joint is flexed, the rubber
rings of the system extension assist are tension free.
2) Slide the serrated lock washer onto the special screw.
3) Install the flat head screw into the outer threaded bores of the orthotic
knee joint upper section and lower section.
4) Secure the screw connection with Loctite 241.
6 Cleaning
Promptly clean the product after contact with water containing salt, chlorine
or soap, or if it gets dirty.
1) Rinse the product with clear fresh water.
