Most grapples are equipped with a valve in the turret. A minimum two valves is
required; one for rotation, and one for opening and closing the jaws. The number of
extra valves depends on the number of outriggers, one valve per outrigger.

Each valve is connected to a separate machine auxiliary valve. Most grapples use the
auxiliary valve and the bucket/tool cylinder valve, some grapples require an auxiliary
