Making Measurements

Measuring Temperature

Do not connect the thermocouple to electrically live circuits. Doing so will potentially
WARNING
cause fire or electric shock.
– Do not bend the thermocouple leads at sharp angles. Repeated bending over a period
CAUTION
of time can break the leads.
– Always set the temperature unit display per the official requirements and in
compliance with the National laws of your region.
The multimeter uses a type-K (default setting) temperature probe for measuring
temperature. To measure temperature, set up your multimeter as shown in Figure 2-24.
