Please follow the below steps for battery communication connection.
1. Lead the communication cables through the cable glands of the COM connection cover,
don't tighten the pressure caps of the cable glands.
Insert the RJ45 plugs to the relative RJ45 sockets.
For outdoor use, the RJ45 connector is equipped with a waterproof connecter. Loosen the
waterproof connecter, pass the RJ45 connector through cable gland and then insert the
RJ45 connector into the COM connection cover.
1) Connect the BMS port on the inverter and COM port on the battery with
communication cable.
2) For meter wiring, please read electricity meter wiring instructions of the meter.
If DRM support is specified, the system may only be used in conjunction with a Demand
Response Enabling Device (DRED). This ensures that the system implements the
commands from the grid operator for active power limitation at all times. The system and
the Demand Response Enabling Device (DRED) must be connected in the same network.
Only DRM0 is available for SMILE-G3-S5-INV/ SMILE-G3-S3.6-INV/ SMILE-G3-B5-INV.
Unscrew the nut of cable
gland and take out the
rubber cylinders.
Please seal the cable gland
properly if there is an
unused hole to prevent
moisture and dust
