Chapter 4 Settings

4.4 DeviceNet network setting

When using DN912, setting and registering the nv controller using nV-Tool, the device need to configure and
setting by using the DeviceNet setting tool from HMS Industrial Networks (Anybus Configurations Manager –
DeviceNet, hereinafter abbreviated as ACM in this manual).
Please use the following DeviceNet setting tool.

Refer to Appendix C.2 for the operating conditions of the PC to be installed.
Use a USB cable to connect the PC on which the setting tool has been installed to the DN912. Use the
connection cable included with the setting tool (or the same standard product), and connect the USB
connector of the PC to the CONFIG connector (USB mini-B) of DN912.

 Important
- The network settings and setting files using "DeviceNet Wizard for TOSHIBA" used for the I/O modules DN311 and
DN611A of the integrated controller V series cannot be taken over and used.
- The "Anybus Configuration Manager-DeviceNet" program from HMS company is not included with this product
(DN912). Please purchase separately from HMS.
- Use a USB cable shorter than 3m. If it is more than 3m, it may cause abnormalities due to noises.
Note
- "Anybus Configuration Manager" is the same product as "NetTool-DN" and is the name in the latest version.
