Terminating resistor

In DeviceNet, terminating resistors must be installed at both ends of the trunk line to reduce signal reflection
and stabilize communication. The specifications of the terminating resistor are as follows.
· 121 Ω
· 1% metal coating
· 1 / 4 W
Currently, products that meet the specifications of the terminating resistor are commercially available, so
please purchase them. See "C.1 Network components".
Note
- Do not use a network configuration that extends only cables that have no nodes connected to both the trunk
・and drop lines.
- Do not attach a terminating resistor to the node. It may cause a communication error.
- Do not attach a terminating resistor to the end of a drop line. Install only at both ends of the trunk line.
