3.6 Replacing the module

The DN912 module can only be replaced when it is de-energized. At that time, be sure to turn off the DC24V
power supply to the base unit BU90A and the network power supply.
Important
When replacing, please note the following points.
- The modules to be replaced must be of the same type.
- Check that the 24V DC power supply wiring is correct after replacement.
- The hexadecimal rotary switch and 4-bit DIP switch of the I/O base unit BU90A must be the same as the I/O base
unit before replacement.
- After replacing the module, connecting the TC-net I/O loop optical transmission cable, and DeviceNet transmission
cable, set the maintenance switch to the down (RUN) position.
- Turn on the 24VDC power after completing the module replacement, various switch settings, and various cable
connections.
- DeviceNet network settings are downloaded when the Unified Controller is in HALT status and DN912 is in IDLE
status (checked by Anybus Configuration Manager).
Wear a wrist strap and white cotton gloves when touching
the module or when connecting or disconnecting the
transmission cable. Ground the wrist strap to eliminate
static electricity.
It may cause damage or failure of the module.
Use an antistatic mat when placing the module during
module replacement work. The antistatic mat is grounded.
It may cause damage or failure of the module.
Turn off the power when replacing the DN912 module.
It may cause damage or failure of the module.
