Chapter 4 Settings

4.1 Switches setting

4.1.1 TC-net I/O loop address setting switch

The switch that determines the TC-net I/O loop address of DN912 is in the BU90A unit. Table 4-1 shows the
settings for the TC-net I/O loop address setting switch.
Switch name Settings
STN-H
STN-L
Setting example: If STN-H is set to 1h and STN-L is set to Ah, the loop address will be 1Ah.
 Important
- Loop address can be set from 3h to 22h. Setting 0 to 2h or 23h to FFH will cause DA912 node down.
- Be sure to set different loop addresses for SA911 / SA912 / PA912 / DN912 connected to the same I/O loop.
・It will not operate normally with the same setting value.
Note
The TC-net I/O loop transmission system does not have a loop address duplication detection function. Therefore, if
the same loop address is set in multiple stations, SA911 / SA912 / PA912 / DN912 may seem to operate normally.
When constructing the system, be careful not to duplicate the loop address with other SA911 / SA912 / PA912 /
DN912.

4.1.2 DeviceNet communication speed and node address setting switch

Figure 4-1 DeviceNet communication speed and node address setting switch
Set the communication speed of DeviceNet with switches 1 and 2, and set the node address of DN912 using
switches 3 to 8. The following table shows the settings.
