    Chapter 1 General Specifications Outline The typeFR, a Unified controller nv-pack series supports virtualization function. The virtualization function starts the guest OS on the virtual environment emulated by the function of the host OS. In the typeFR, the PLC runs on the host OS.

    Chapter 1 General Specifications Disk Configuration This section describes the disk configuration for supporting the virtualization function. A total of 2 disks are required for one for PLC and one for Windows. In the typeFR with Windows license, the Drive Bay 0 and the Drive Bay 1 on the main unit are configured as follows.

  • Page 22 Chapter 1 General Specifications 1.6.1 USB interface The typeFR has USB controllers on the front and rear. Either PLC or Windows occupies the USB controller. The default setting is PLC on the front and Windows on the back. This setting can be changed with nV-Tool. Note Pay attention to the above points when connecting the mouse and keyboard.

Each extended interface is occupied by either PLC or Windows. All default settings are PLC. This setting can be changed with nV-Tool.
