5.6 Load Connections

5.6.1 Load Connections to Distribution Panels and Load Return Busbars

WARNING! Observe proper polarity when making load connections.
Load leads are connected to the individual load busbars located on the distribution panels and the load return busbars located at the
top of the distribution cabinet. Refer to Figure 5.8 for connection details and recommended torque. Customer must provide (or
order) lug mounting hardware.

Note: 80 A circuit breakers can be used without a space provided the continuous
current in each 80 A device does not exceed 51 A. A 100 A or greater circuit
breaker SHALL HAVE an empty mounting position between it and any other
overcurrent protective device.
Note: Cable tie bars may be
rotated 180-degrees to provide
different vertical spacing.

(Customer must supply or order hardware)
Maximum Lug Width: 0.625 inches.
Busbar Hardware:
1/4-20 Hex Nut
1/4" Lock Washer
1/4" Flat Washer
Recommended Torque: 72 in-lbs.
