Daisy Chain Connections ("IN", "OUT")

Connection with the PC
For the connection of the PC with the ES930.1 module ("IN" connection), you
need a combined Ethernet and power supply cable (CBEP410, CBEP4105,
CBEP415 or CBEP4155).

Connection with additional ETAS Daisy Chain Modules
The cabling is done from the PC to the first module in the direction of the end
of the module chain.

ES930.1 - User Guide
1. Connect the combined Ethernet and power supply cable
(CBEP410, CBEP4105, CBEP415 or CBEP4155) with the "IN"
connection of the ES930.1.
2. Connect the RJ-45 plug connector with the free Ethernet inter-
face of your PC.
3. Connect the power supply connectors of the combined Ether-
net and power supply cable with the desired power supply.
Observe the color coding of the plug connectors.
Observe the power consumption of the ES930.1 and its supply
voltage range. The permissible values are located in chapter
13.9.1 on page 92.
1. Connect an Ethernet cable with the "OUT" connection of the
ES930.1.
2. Connect the Ethernet cable with the "IN" connection of the sub-
sequent ETAS daisy chain module.
3. Cable or connect additional modules as describe above.
1. Disconnect the module chain after the last module whose
power supply is still ensured over the entire operating range.
2. Connect the combined Ethernet and power supply cable with
the "OUT" connection of the last module of the chain in the
direction of the PC.
3. Connect the combined Ethernet and power supply cable with
the "IN" connection of the ES930.1 of the module following in
the direction of the end of the chain.
4. Connect the power supply connectors of the combined Ether-
net and power supply cable with the desired power supply.
Observe the color coding of the plug connectors.
Observe the power consumption of the ES930.1 and its supply
voltage range. The permissible values are located in chapter
13.9.1 on page 92.
