Steering wheel stops -- Figure 71
The steering wheel stops, i.e. the minimum stroke
length of the cylinders, are factory-set and need no
further adjustment.
If, for any reason, the stops require adjustment, pro-
ceed as follows:
1. Rotate the steering wheel to the extreme right-
hand position so that the steering cylinder is at its
minimum stroke. Be sure the opposite cylinder is
not blocking first.
2. Adjust 53° with nuts E.
3. Proceed in the same way on the opposite side.
Steering ball joints -- Figure 72
Check the steering ball joints of the steering axle
every 50 hours of operation for correct nut torque or
possible play.
If, for any reason, the steering ball joints were disas-
sembled, the nut torque should be as mentioned in
Figure 72.
