Reel does not turn
Throwing rocks over back
Reel not sweeping rocks
into bucket. Excessive

Bucket not filling

Reel slows significantly when
the grate is moved

OPERATION
Possible Cause
Oil not getting into hydraulic
motor.
Reel speed too fast
Batts springs too loose
compressed coupler insert
Reel coupler not tight on shaft
Overfilling bucket
Insufficient reel speed
Poor field conditions
Teeth penetrating too much
Open center hydraulic system
on the tractor.

Remedy
Check hydraulic connections
Check tractor flow control valve
Adjust flow control on tractor
Tighten springs
Replace coupler insert
Tighten reel coupler and lock
Dump bucket more frequently
Adjust flow control to tractor
Soil should be firm and dry
Minimum of surface debris
Raise grate so teeth just skim
surface
Machine must be run on a tractor
with a Closed Center Hydraulic System
