6. CONNECTING THE ROCK PICKER TO THE TRACTOR

Use extreme caution when connecting the Titan 5000 Series II to the tractor. The Titan 5000 Series II should
be securely resting at ground level with the parking jack foot. Place a block in front of and behind wheels to
prevent the Titan 5000 Series from moving. Keep hands and feet out from under the Titan 5000 Series II and
clear of pinch points between the tractor and the Titan 5000 Series II.
6.1 Connecting the Rock Picker to the Tractor
1. Ensure the tractor is equipped with a drawbar
and has a safety chain attachment point.
2. Using the parking jack, position the tongue
clevis to the height of the tractor drawbar.
Adjust the front hitch clevis up or down so that
the rock picker main frame is parallel to the
ground or as near as possible.
3. Board the tractor and start the engine. Back the
tractor to the rock picker aligning the drawbar
hitch hole with the rock picker tongue clevis.
Turn off the tractor engine, place the tractor in
park, and set the parking brake before
dismounting.
4. To attach the rock picker, place the hitch pin
through the hitch clevis and drawbar hole.
Then insert the lynch pin to the hitch pin and
secure.
5. Once the hitch pin is secured, attach the unit
safety chain to the tractor drawbar or drawbar
support frame.
6. Lower the jack until the tongue is completely
supported by the drawbar. Remove jack from
the tongue and place on storage bracket of
implement.
