  • Page 28 When ordering replacement parts for the Gearboxes and the Drivelines, be sure to specify the serial number. The serial number is located on the left hand side attached to the SRW1400 hitch pole. Driveline Integral Shields, and Gearbox Shields are standard equipment and are to be used at all times.

    Check tire inflation pressure. Tires should be inflated to 25 PSI. Higher pressures may cause excessive bouncing over rough ground. Gearbox output driveline should be installed with the shear bolt torque limiter at the gearbox. SRW1400 08/16 Assembly Section 3-2 © 2016 Alamo Group Inc.

    The transport wheel lock pin comes equipped with two holes for the snapper pin. When the rock windrower is in transport position, the transport wheel lock pin should be secured in the transport position. SRW1400 08/16 Assembly Section 3-3 © 2016 Alamo Group Inc.

    The recommended tractor HP for the SRW1400 is 40-80 HP (30-60 kW). Operating the implement with a larger tractor will greatly increase the risk of damaging the implement.

    Before getting onto the tractor, the operator must read and completely understand the implement and tractor operator manuals.     Use extreme caution when connecting the SRW1400 to the tractor. The SRW1400 should be securely resting at ground level with the parking jack foot. Place a block in front of and behind wheels to prevent the SRW1400 from moving. Keep hands and feet out from under the SRW1400 and clear of pinch points between the tractor and SRW1400.
  • Page 47: Connecting The Windrower Tongue To The Tractor

    Implement and Tractor hitches. (S3PT-15) 4. To attach the SRW1400 insert the hitch pin through the drawbar and tongue clevis. Once the pin is inserted, attach the snap ring pin through the hole on the hitch pin and snap in place.

    Never leave a disconnected hose end open and cap the tractor hydraulic outlet ports when not in use. If the tractor ports, SRW1400 ports and hydraulic hose ends become contaminated, wipe clean with a rag before connecting.

    Before each implement use, a complete inspection and service is required to ensure the implement is in a good and safe working condition. Damaged and/or broken parts should be repaired and/or replaced immediately. To ensure the implement is ready for operation, conduct the following.     Refer to the following illustration and set the height of the clutch springs as indicated. Tighten nuts following an alternating cross pattern. Check that the height is constant for all springs.
