The L3 controller is connectable with an engineering tool designed to create, register and
document control programs, process I/O information, and various tag information.
Since the engineering tool runs on the Windows NT platform, it is operable on a PC/AT-
compatible personal computer or the OIS1200.

The L3 controller is connectable with the engineering tool in either of the two methods
shown in figure 1-8.
(1) The L3 controller may be connected with a personal computer via an RS-232C
compliant interface.
(2) The L3 controller may be connected with a personal computer or the OIS1200 via an
Ethernet control LAN.
