Mode switch
The mode switch is a key switch with three positions: "HALT", "RUN", and "P-RUN". To
start the L3 controller normally, i.e., by turning on the power switch, position this switch to
"HALT".
This switch is used to select the operation mode of the L3 CPU module.

Duplexing Interface Module (IF719/IF728/IF748)

When the L3 controller is used in duplex configuration, it is necessary to set the primary/
secondary switch on the duplexing interface module. Before startup, confirm the switch
setting.

In duplex configuration, do not set both blocks of the L3 main unit for PRI or SEC; the system
will stop, resulting in error rundown.
