Cautionary Requirements in Grounding the L3 Controller

Grounding is important to ensure safe and stable system operation. Ground the L3
controller properly, taking account of the requirements specified in the following
paragraphs.
To ground the L3 controller, connect the ground terminals of each cubicle, console, line
filter, I/O power supply, etc., as well as the shield of external signal cable, all together to
the ground terminal of the incoming/distributing unit or peripheral equipment.
• Be sure to ground the L3 connector, to protect operators and maintenance personnel from
electric shock and to prevent noise.

Isolation from building
To avoid influence of noise current flowing in the building, isolate each console from the
building.
