3.2 Carrying-in & Installation
Since the equipment is considerably large in both weight and size, prepare a plan to
carry the equipment to the installation site, in advance. To carry and install the
equipment in a short time without any problem or accident, check the transportation
passage, the parking space for trucks, etc. for appropriateness and safety.
3.2.1
Transportation Passage and Parking Space for Trucks
To ensure smooth work, prepare and secure an appropriate transportation passage to
the building where the equipment is to be installed, as well as parking, unloading and
unpacking spaces.
3.2.2
Unloading
Unload the package of the equipment carefully, paying attention to the following points.
(1) In unloading the package from a railroad car or a truck, be sure to rope or wire the
package at two or more points, so that the load is applied uniformly to the rope or
wire.
(2) Use rope, wire, etc. that meet the specifications and can support the load.
(3) Take care not to apply shock to the package when unloading. Absolutely do not pile
packages one on another.
(4) Using a forklift, transfer each package carefully so as not to apply shock to it.
