This chapter describes the registration and setup method when connecting PROFIBUS
to an S controller.
The Engineering tool (Ver. 1.85 or later) is used for registration and setup.
An example of how to register and setup the PROFIBUS master module (PF311) is
described below.
This example assumes that the system (PROFIBUS), station (PROFI), and controller
(S3-test) folders and station (dmyPF) folder are already created.
(1) Open the Engineering tool in Product view.
(2) Double click [Station Configuration] and open the [Hardware Configuration] window.
(3) Double click a free module name slot from [Main Unit] - [Connections in module] to
open the module menu and then select a module. In this case PF311 is selected and
connected. The selected module appears in the slot in red.
(4) Select [File] - [Save]. The data is saved and the red module returns to normal display.
