Preparatory measures
3.1
Certificate of decontamination
The decontamination of the safety cabinet is the re-
sponsibility of the operator.
The operator issues hygiene regulations that are
compatible with the intended purpose of the unit.
Prior to repairs, inquire about the existing hygiene
regulations and also about decontamination and dis-
infection measures.
If disinfection is required prior to repairs, use the stan-
dard disinfection procedures suitable only for micro-
biological application as described in Annex A.
NOTE! – Decontamination certificate!
Ask the operator for a written proof of the ap-
plied decontamination procedures. The decontamina-
tion certificate should be attached to the test report.
3.2
Tools and auxiliary devices
Screw connections
All screw connections within the safety cabinet have
been designed for metric threads.
For removing and tightening these screw connections,
metric wrenches of the appropriate sizes are required.
Torque values
For tightening the screw connections, no torque val-
ues are given. All retaining screws must only be tight-
ened finger-tight (i.e.without leverage).
Sealant
For sealing joints and leaks, use only the following
type of sealant:
Sista F 109, producer Henkel Co.
Paint
Housing: RAL 9002
Support stand: RAL 5018
