Problem
The clutch does not engage

Possible Cause
The fuse is blown.
There is a low voltage supply at the
clutch.
The coil is damaged.
There is inadequate current supply.
The rotor/armature air gap is too large.

Corrective Action
Replace the fuse. Check the coil
resistance, battery charge, charging
system, and wiring connections.
Replace components if necessary.
Check the coil resistance, battery

connections. Replace components if
necessary.
Replace the clutch.
Repair or replace the clutch lead wire or
electrical system. Clean the connector
contacts.
Remove the shim or replace the clutch.
