Fastenings for wheelchairs without transport
restraint system: The fastening points for
loops are marked with the above described
karabiner symbol. The wheelchair restraint
system fasteners must be fastened exclusively
in the marked locations and must always be at-
tached symmetrically on both sides of the
wheelchair. The figures show how the system
is fastened on one side of the product.

28.5 Handling instructions and posi-
tioning the wheelchair in the vehi-
cle
The crash test according to ISO 7176-19 de-
mands a frontal impact at 48 kph and therefore
represents only a part of the possible hazard-
ous situations. Basically, all passengers must
be seated on a standard vehicle seat with
three-point seat belt. This is the safest possibil-
ity of transportation. If this cannot be imple-
mented, the wheelchair as well as the passen-
ger must be secured. The use of this retention
