Return

The following procedures must be carried out before a transmitter is sent to Endress+Hauser e.g.
for repair or calibration:
• Remove all residue which may be present. Pay special attention to the grooves for seals and
crevices which could contain fluid residues. This is particularly important if the substance is
hazardous to health, e.g. flammable, toxic, caustic, carcinogenic, etc.
• Always enclose a duly completed "Declaration of Contamination" form (a copy of the
"Declaration of Contamination" is included at the end of these Operating Instructions). Only then
can Endress +Hauser transport, examine and repair a returned device.
• Enclose special handling instructions if necessary, for example a safety data sheet as per
EN 91/155/EEC.
Additionally specify:
• The chemical and physical properties of the fluid
• A description of the application
• A description of the error that occurred (specify error code if possible)
• Operating duration of the device
