Overvoltage protection
If the measuring device is used for level measurement in flammable liquids which requires the use
of overvoltage protection according to DIN EN 60079-14, standard for test procedures 60060-1
(10 kA, pulse 8/20 μs), the following applies:
• The measuring device is used with integrated overvoltage protection with 600V gas tube surge
arrester in the T12 housing, refer to product overview on → ä 8
or
• This protection is achieved by the use of other appropriate measures (external protection devices
e.g. HAW262Z).
